Please I'm gonna throw this laptop because of this problem. Audio just buzz it or pop it or feels like I'm in front of camp fire.
If you use Skype and if the person's connection is not perfect this buzz, pop up, cracking whatever you call is all the time happens. So my guess is if you use non stop connection this sound get crazy.
Another also, if you use teamspeak which you need to use all the time audio and mic. This sound is every where like it comes in every 5 seconds. Everything is up to date. Windows, drivers, bios everything! This laptop is your gaming and it is really a good one. So please find good drivers and update it! I have uninstalled Support Assist but the problem still persists. I had upgraded my operating system from windows 7 to windows 10 on my laptop. It is a Dell inspiron 32bit. Problem went away I have the same problem. There was windows updates yesterday and i have a feeling one of them my be causing the problem.
However is just dont have the will power right now to uninstall them 1 by 1 and figure it out. Tomorrow i will see if uninstalling them fixes the problem. Also, I was having problems with video lagging and not starting when I clicked play. That has now stopped, too!

This is what seems to have solved the problem for me You do this by going to System Configuration by typing msconfig in your "Search Programs and Files" box when clicking on the start button - there are plenty of internet pages that tell you how to do it.
So I knew it was something I was loading at startup, so I kept adding items and rebooting, adding items back then rebooting. If I enable it in Services and it loads at start up, the stuttering comes back.

The solution has been found for the poster who began this thread and it has worked for dozens of other Inspiron owners and also Inspiron owners. There are many causes for the symptom of noisy audio and each cause has its own solution -- there is not and never will be "a" fix. If you want to talk to other XPS 15z owners about the noise issues affecting your model, post in one of the threads devoted to it. A couple of them are.
